Paradigm boosts efficiency in resource deployment

5* DMAs are those where the Paradigm modelled flow has matched actual net flow well for a significant period, indicating that demand is well understood.

When flow diverges from the model, analysts can be assured that there is something unusual occurring that requires investigation.

In this case study, actual net flow sat around 2 l/s higher than the model. Armed with confidence in the model, the analyst requested a step test which isolated a 2 l/s leak in one part of the DMA. Once the repair was made, both the MNF and daily demand matched the model closely, giving the team confidence there was no further leakage to be targeted in the DMA.

Take a look at the case study video below:

“When net flow matches a 5* model again after a burst repair, the area is behaving as expected and resources can be allocated to other areas with higher leakage savings potential”
