As it is not currently feasible for every DMA to be acoustically logged, selecting the right areas to log is essential to maximising return on investment.

Radar identifies which areas are most suitable for logging, with reference to levels of existing leakage and how reactive an area is, as well as the material types of the local network and the availability of assets for logging. As part of this process we provide a prediction of the expected benefits and, subsequently, measure what was actually delivered. Through comprehensive planning and preparation, the expected benefits of an optimised logger deployment include reductions in Awareness and Locate times. Our approach accelerates the detection and resolution of issues, enhancing your operational efficiency.

Whether pursuing a FAN or L&S approach, Radar aids decision making through an assessment of relative solution costs and site accessibility.

The Logger Deployment Optimiser

Using geospatial trace algorithms to determine the number of loggers and their siting to achieve maximum coverage on the network allows the the optimiser to understand the maximum achievable coverage for a DMA and the optimal number of loggers required. These metrics can then inform a DMAs lift and shift suitability as well as planning for more permanent deployments.
